Through a collaborative effort with Federal, State, County and City offices, Hamilton County Public Health Services has an emergency preparedness plan to assist the residents of Hamilton County after a natural disaster. To assist you better we ask all residents of Hamilton County to develop their own emergency preparedness plan which may include:

Establish a meeting place:

One close to home and one outside your neighborhood.

Agree on an out of town contact in case local phone lines are down.

Teach children how and when to contact all.

Try cell phones, pay phones or e-mail

if regular phone service is unavailable.

Learn how to shut off water, gas, electricity in your home.
